The Windsor Gospel Hall in 1927.

A history dating back to 1916

A simple gathering on Sunday, November 19, 1916 was the beginning of a testimony that has lasted well over a hundred years in the Windsor area.  Originally meeting in rented facilities, or someone’s house, the assembly was able to build their own meeting place in 1927.  Simply known as the Gospel Hall on Partington Avenue, the building served the needs of generations from 1927 to 2023.  After outgrowing the size of the Partington Avenue building, a new location was secured on Malden Road in LaSalle.  The last meeting in the Windsor Gospel Hall was on Sunday June 11, 2023, followed by the first meeting in the Malden Road Gospel Hall on Sunday June 18, 2023.

In 2016 a special conference was held to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the assembly.  A special 120 page book was written to commemorate the history from the very beginning to 2016 and provided to attendees of the conference.  The book is still available for purchase on Amazon.ca or Amazon.com by searching for ISBN 9781771364874.

Who we are and what we believe

Who we are and what we believe

We are a company of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures, nationalities and different walks of life with one essential theme in common… We have all come to know God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as our own personal Saviour and Lord.

We are guided by a group of overseers/elders, raised up by the Holy Spirit, who are accountable to God alone for responsibility over the local church. We enjoy fellowship with other autonomous, like-minded, Scripturally-led assemblies throughout the world.

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the living, unchanging Word of God. Every word is inspired by God. It is completely relevant and reliable and is sufficient to meet all our spiritual needs.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He became a man in order to die on the cross as a substitute for sinners. He rose from the dead three days later, and today He is in Heaven at the Father’s right hand.

Sin

We believe that mankind is born with a sinful nature. Our sin separates us from God and renders us helpless to save ourselves. Only through the death of Christ can we be cleansed and forgiven.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Eternal life is found exclusively in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Reception of Christ as Savior and Lord is necessary if one is to be saved.
